Popular Israeli franchise Cafe Landwer is building a North American presence with a total of eight locations currently operating in the United States and Canada, including in American cities like Boston and Los Angeles. The chain’s cafe restaurants “are designed to create a warm and elegant atmosphere, to welcome & host guests,” and a recent plan review indicates that one of them is in the works for South Florida.

Recent paperwork submitted by OTK Group LLC shows Cafe Landwer opening at 805 SE First Ave. in Hallandale Beach.

The chain’s Boston menu includes breakfast choices like the Mediterranean Breakfast (two eggs any style, served with za’atar pita, chopped salad & labneh) and the Turkey Bacon Benedict. Choices from the Hummus & Shakshukas menu include the Falafel Hummus Bowl, the Chicken Shawarma Hummus Bowl, and the Halloumi Shakshuka (crispy halloumi cheese, spinach & two poached eggs on spiced tomato pepper stew).

Entrees include Herb Marinated Chicken, Pasta Cream Bolognese, and Vegan Shawarma on Focaccia. For dessert: baked cheesecake, the Dessert Waffle, and Nutella Rosalach.
