Born in Tampa Bay, Capital Tacos has been expanding throughout Florida and beyond. The taco brand’s first franchise location opened in Trinity, Florida last November as part of a three-location agreement for the Tampa Bay Area.

Capital Tacos has also made inroads into South Florida with a digital kitchen location in Wynwood. This year, as part of a massive expansive push, the brand will launch its first corporate-operated store in South Florida, according to recent coverage in the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

“Capital Tacos anticipates opening its first corporate locations in Charlotte, Atlanta and South Florida, as well as franchises in Orlando and Colorado, in Q1 and Q2, before opening additional locations throughout all its markets in the remainder of the year,” co-founder Josh Luger told the Journal.

The brand’s “Chef Created Flavor Profiles” are available in the form of tacos, burritos, and bowls. They include the Big Kahuna (battered & fried fish with jack & cheddar, corn salsa, Carolina gold, cilantro, dirty spice, and a lime wedge) and Ace High Carnitas (Traditional fried pork with green chiles, diced onions, chihuahua cheese, cilantro, salsa verde, and a lime wedge).

What Now reached out to Josh Luger about the upcoming location on Wednesday. Luger was not immediately available for comment.
