Located in South Lakes Shopping Plaza, at 2934 N State Road 7, Carl’s Seafood Restaurant offers a variety of dishes from Caribbean cuisine, with a Jamaican-Chinese flare. You can load up on Ackee and Saltfish in the morning and enjoy dishes like Curried Goat (Goat meat seasoned with scallion, garlic, ginger, thyme, onions, scotch bonnet pepper and curry powder, which is then slowly cooked until the meat is tender and the sauce is thick and delicious) and Jerk Chicken for lunch and dinner, or choose from a generous selection of other choices.

Building on this base, the team behind Carl’s appears to be planning a new concept just two doors down: Carl’s Jerk Centre.

Plan review paperwork submitted by owner Carl Dixon shows Carl’s Jerk Centre opening at 2942 N State Road 7, the second door to the left of Carl’s Seafood Restaurant.

What Now reached out to Dixon on Wednesday to ask about plans for Carl’s Jerk Centre. Dixon was not immediately available for comment, but What Now is awaiting further information from a Carl’s representative.
