With ten locations currently operating in Florida, Carmela Toast & Coffee Bar is preparing for a considerable expansion: a quick visit to the brand’s website shows six more locations planned for the Sunshine State. Plan review paperwork was recently submitted for one of these, which is to launch in Wellington this July.

The paperwork shows the Carmela location opening at 10630 Forest Hill Boulevard, in Wellington Green Square, a shopping center at the intersection of Forest Hill Boulevard and Wellington Green Drive.

The Carmela menu features classic espresso coffee drinks, plus brewed and cold brewed coffees. Its food menu features eight different approaches to avocado toast, including Caprese, Smoked Salmon & Egg, and Burrata & Prosciutto. The toast choices continue: try the Peanut Berry, with peanut butter, strawberries, a Nutella drizzle, and chia seeds, or the Mediterranean, with hummus, arugula, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, feta, and a balsamic glaze.

What Now reached out on Friday to franchisee Alejandra Aedo to inquire about plans for the opening. Aedo was not immediately available for comment on the Wellington Carmela, but stay tuned as more information becomes available.
