Gale Miami Hotel & Residences is preparing to open its doors soon at 601 NE First Ave. The new Gale (the brand also has a South Beach hotel location) will be home to three upscale restaurants helmed by Chef Erhan Özkaya, according to coverage by the South Florida Business Journal.

The chef, who has worked in restaurants all over Miami (including The Bazaar by Jose Andres), will head up a new “American-style steakhouse, Mediterranean restaurant and Italian concept,” the Business Journal coverage says. Chef Özkaya will also run concierge catering services.

“Joining forces with Gale Miami Hotel & Residences means adding my own touch to downtown Miami’s already flourishing restaurant scene,” Özkaya says in the Business Journal coverage. “Miami is a melting pot of cultures and flavors, and together with Gale Miami, we will create a culinary destination that celebrates the rich tapestry of Miami’s dining scene.”

The names of the restaurants are not revealed in the coverage. What Now reached out to Özkaya on Monday to inquire about plans for the three concepts. Özkaya declined to comment at this time.
