What Now reported a little over a year ago on plans for the opening of Mr. B’s Tavern at 5201 Georgia Ave. in West Palm Beach. Mr. B’s, an “old Florida tavern with new vibes, an elevated menu, and nightlife” has since launched.

The All-Day menu at Mr. B’s Tavern features handhelds like the Fried Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich; the Crispy Eggplant “Burger” with basil aioli, roasted pepper, arugula, and burrata, and the Blackened Fish Sandwich. There are also “Tavern Classics” like Mr. B’s Chicken Parmesan and the NY Strip Steak.

That’s all along signature cocktails like the Soso Spritz (Tito’s Vodka, Chombard, Prosecco), the Mister B’s (Angel’s Envy Bourbon, Amoretto), and the Frank the Tiger (Hendrick’s Gin, Compari, Montenegro, MurMur Rum).

Who is this Mr. B? None other than Chef Matthew Byrne, the chef behind Kitchen, a restaurant with locations in West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens, which Byrne owns together with wife Aliza Byrne.

Now, Matthew Byrne is behind submitted plans for a new restaurant, called “Aleeza,” in West Palm Beach. The plans, submitted by Patina Restaurant LLC, show Aleeza opening at 5114 Georgia Avenue, just steps away from Mr. B’s Tavern.

What Now reached out to Aliza Byrne on Monday to ask about plans for the restaurant which appears to be her namesake (right alongside Byrne’s, Mr. B’s Tavern). Byrne was not immediately available for comment on the news.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.

In the meantime, check out Mr. B’s on Instagram, @mrbspb.
