The stretch of Tamiami Trail between Southwest 18th and 17th Avenues in Little Havana appears to be welcoming a new Chipotle Mexican Grill location. Plan review paperwork submitted by the company shows a new Chipotle launching at 1775 SW Eighth Street.
This means that, in addition to other famously great food in the area, you’ll also be able to get in your Chipotle fix, enjoying the brand’s signature burritos, burrito bowls, quesadillas, and more, with the now-famous, industry-standard, build-your-own approach that allows guests to choose from proteins like Chicken, Steak, Beef Barbacoa, and Carnitas, adding rice, beans, and toppers like salsa, sour cream, lettuce, cheese, queso blanco, and others.
“Chipotle was born of the radical belief that there is a connection between how food is raised and prepared, and how it tastes,” says the Chipotle website. “Real is better. Better for You, Better for People, Better for Our Planet. It may be the hard way to do things, but it’s the right way.”
The new Chipotle location would join restaurants like El Rey De Las Fritas, Lung Yai Thai Tapas, and—a kindred spirit for a fast-casual megachain like Chipotle—Starbucks.
