The space formerly occupied by Time Out Market—which famously shut down after giving its vendors only a few hours’ notice about two years ago—is getting new life breathed into it. City Food Hall, the food hall brand with locations in Florida and Georgia, will be replacing it, says coverage published by the Miami New Times.
City Food Hall, which offers “your favorite local restaurants, all in one place,” is expected to launch at 1601 Drexel Ave. next summer.
The new City Food Hall will be a place not only eat but congregate, as the New Times describes it as “a mix of all-day dining and spaces meant for socializing.”
“Great food unites people,” the City Food Hall website says. “That’s why we’ve gathered 10+ local restaurant concepts offering up cuisines from across the globe. Their menus are skillfully crafted by your favorite local chefs in a food court-styled setting. Take that trip you’ve always wanted around the world in 60 minutes— Mexican Tacos Al Pastor, Israeli Falafel, to Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen, and Nashville Hot Chicken.”
City Food Hall’s vendors have included Ramen Lab Eatery, Caribbean Fire Side Bistro, Joi Poke & Sushi, Drunk Tacos, and Crust & Co.: there really is a little of everything. We’re looking forward to seeing what will be on offer at 1601 Drexel.
