What Now reported back in March on the upcoming reopening of Hereford Grill, the beloved Miami steakhouse that closed back in 2022 and will be brought back to life by Da Silva Hospitality. The opening is finally coming to fruition, says coverage by the Miami New Times, with an opening planned for September 5, at 782 NW 42nd Avenue.

The project has been a long time in the works. “Owner and CEO Erasmo Da Silva says the goal was to keep the spirit of the original while making it fit today’s diners,” the New Times coverage says. “His team traveled to Argentina and collaborated with Michelin Guide-recognized Corte Comedor to create a menu centered on open-fire cooking.”

As that opening approaches, Da Silva Hospitality Group, known in South Florida for its Coral Gables restaurant Zucca, is also at work on an Italian food hall concept. Called Zuccaly, it’s opening at 111 Palermo Ave, Suite 112.

“Zuccaly offers an immersive Italian dining experience,” says a description provided to Google Maps. “Explore various food stations, each specializing in a different delicacy, and create your own personalized Italian feast.”

The Zuccaly website, which says the food hall is currently under construction, describes six different stations. There’s a Pasta & Risotto station, offering dishes like “lobster tortellini served with a lobster and vine tomato butter”; a Pizza, Foccacia E Panini Station; a Grill & Fish Station; and an Antipasti & Salads Station. To top it off, there’s a station for gelato and other desserts, along with The Zuccaly Bar: “Whether you’re a Martini kind of man or a guy who enjoys a decent draft beer; this drinking spot will suit every taste.”

What Now reached out to Erasmo Da Silva on Friday to ask about plans for Hereford Grill launch, along with Zuccaly’s progress. Da Silva was not immediately available for comment.
