Born in East Hollywood, California as a small chicken stand in a parking lot, Dave’s Hot Chicken has grown explosively in recent years, launching new locations all over the country. Dave’s offers hot chicken with your choice of spice level, ranging from no spice at all the outrageous “Reaper” spice level, which you’ll have to sign waiver if you want to try.

As the brand looks to expand in South Florida, its first Broward County location has already launched in Pembroke PinesWestfork Plaza Shopping Center. And now, Hans Hot Chicken Pompano Beach LLC has submitted plan review documents for another Broward location, this time at 2390 Federal Highway, Suite 101 in Pompano Beach.

What Now reached out to Craig Ollis, one of the franchisees behind the Hans Hot Chicken franchisee (which also launched the Pembroke Pines location) to inquire about a Pompano Beach Dave’s Hot Chicken. Ollis was not immediately available for comment.

“The brand is extremely fun, and the product is amazing,” Ollis told What Now last year, discussing his introduction to the franchise. “And you may not know this, but the number one most requested market for Dave’s Hot Chicken right now is South Florida.”

The North Federal Highway location is situated between Northeast 24th Street and 23rd Court. There, it would join fast casual concepts Chipotle Mexican Grill and Jersey Mike’s Subs, near First Presbyterian Church of Pompano Beach.
