Fuku, the fried chicken concept by David Chang, is opening a West Palm Beach location just off the heels of its Coral Gables launch.
The company just filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a restaurant at 423 S. Rosemary Avenue, right in the heart of Downtown West Palm Beach. Fuku’s website confirms the information, adding that the restaurant will open summer 2026.
Fuku’s much lauded fried chicken started as an off-menu item at chef David Chang’s Momofuku Noodle Bar in New York. The fried chicken became so popular, that Chang opened a restaurant dedicated to the fried chicken in June 2015. There are now about 30 locations of the Fuku brand, with its most recent restaurant opening in Coral Gables just a few weeks ago. Though some say this was the first South Florida locaion, technically it isn’t: Chang brought his famous chicken sandwiches to Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium in 2017 when Fuku opened two locations there.
When Fuku opens in West Palm Beach, expect to find its crown jewel — a crispy brined chicken sando topped with Fuku mayo, and pickles on a butter toasted potato roll. The chicken can be ordered spicy, mild, or with an Impossible filet. There are also tenders, waffle fries, and more.
