Coconut Grove is the future home of an upcoming dining and nightlife development from Breakwater Hospitality Group, Regatta. A plan review was recently submitted for the project at 3415 Pan American Drive in Miami.
Regatta (or, at least, what we know of it so far) was discussed in detail earlier this year in coverage on DeliciousFood.com. Written by Connie Ogle, the coverage mentions other recent developments in Coconut Grove, noting the dining and entertainment destinations the area has been attracting, including Michelin-starred restaurants like Ariete and Los Felix. The Regatta location, Ogle points out, was previously occupied by Chart House.
Regatta can accommodate more than 900 people, with three bars and more than 400 seats. Food vendors, none of which had yet been named at the time of publication (last month), will use five full kitchens and will be staffed by—quoting partner Alex Mantecon—“James Beard Award-caliber chefs.”
What Now reached out to Mantecon on Thursday. Mantecon was not immediately available for comment on the project.
For now, the food concepts headed to Regatta and its opening date remain a mystery. What we do know is that said vendors are expected to be upscale and Regatta is expected to open in 2023.
