Boynton Beach will soon be home to a new Haitian takeout spot. Disdwet Restaurant will open in Unit 12 at 1403 Boynton Beach Blvd, just east of the intersection with North Congress Avenue.
The name, which literally means ten fingers (dis dwèt), indicates culinary know-how, owner Wilphanie Alcegaire told What Now on Saturday.
“It’s like, ‘Okay, so you know how to cook,” Alcegaire said.
On the menu are a range of dishes from fried plantains and pikliz, to Haitian-style pasta, to rice and beans or white rice with Sos Pwa. If the photos included here are starting to whet your appetite, you can see more on Disdwet’s Instagram page.
The Boynton Beach Boulevard location, situated just across the street from Leisureville Plaza, is one of a number of food and drink spots near the Congress intersection. These include Boynton Pizza, The Boulevard, La Brasa, and Dunkin’. Disdwet Restaurant is planning to open there in time for spring.
“I would like to welcome everybody in,” said Alcegaire. “It’s a guarantee they will love the food.”
