The intersection of North Andrews Avenue and Northwest 39th Street in Oakland Park will soon be home to El Café Típico, a new cafe in the works at 3827 N Andrews Ave, according to submitted plan review paperwork.

Behind the upcoming project is owner Alicia Vargas. What Now reached out to Vargas on Wednesday to ask about plans for El Café Típico’s rollout and its planned menu.

Vargas confirmed the opening and said it’s still about 3 or 4 months away. Details on the menu are not available yet.

The cafe appears to be opening in tandem with Aly’s Nutrition, Vargas’s nutritionist business. Aly’s Nutrition offers products like High Protein Iced Coffee and Herbalife Healthy Meal replacements.

Opening in the small retail center on the southwest corner of Andrews and 39th, El Café Típico will join businesses like Fred Barbershop & Salon and Alegria Taco.
