PDQ, which stands for People Dedicated to Quality, will be opening a new unit in the Plantation area at 10197 Cleary Boulevard. According to a spokesperson for the brand, residents will have to wait until the second half of 2022 to enjoy a meal.

The business is in the process of acquiring permits and is hoping to begin construction on the location soon. According to Google maps, the unit will appear in a now vacant bank building. It’s unclear at this time if the company intends to demolish the building or renovate it. However, the spokesperson stated that most PDQ locations are featured in new constructions.

The brand offers a high-quality product in the saturated fast-casual chicken market. According to the website, they do not freeze their chicken, and everything is made from scratch in their open-air kitchens, so guests can watch their food being prepared if they wish.

A plan review filed with the state last month was approved with provisions on February 4th.

What Now Miami is waiting for more information from the spokesperson. Check back later for details.
