By our count, it would be the chain’s 25th restaurant

What Now reported back in 2023 on plans for a reopening of the Flanigan’s in Hollywood, which had been damaged by a fire (and which has, indeed, since reopened).

“Flanigan’s is very much a South Florida icon, and we plan to keep it that way,” a representative of Flanigan’s told What Now at the time. “We believe there’s plenty of room in South Florida for more locations. Our eyes are set on the growing community of Homestead.”

Nearly two years have passed, but this prediction appears to be coming true. This week, the Miami New Times reported that Flanigan’s is in the process of opening a new location next to the former city hall. Flanigan’s marketing director Jennifer Pierce told the New Times that plans for the Homestead location are “still in the initial stages.”

The Flanigan’s menu is packed with Ten Ounce Burgers like the Texas Burger (Crispy bacon, crumbled bleu cheese, a stack of Tumbleweed Onions, all drizzled with our homemade wing sauce), Waytoobig Sandwiches like the Chipotle Salmon Sandwich, Seafood dishes, Pastas, and more. That’s alongside, of course, Flanigan’s “tender, juicy, meat-falls-off-the-bone Baby Back Ribs.”

What Now reached out to Flanigan’s COO Augie Bucci on Thursday to ask about the brand’s progress in Homestead. Bucci was not immediately available for comment.
