Founded in Fort Myers back in 2012, Ford’s Garage is “your go-to neighborhood burger and brew joint.” In the years since its opening, the brand has brought its burgers and craft beers to steadily more locations throughout Florida; since launching franchising, it has also expanded into seven additional states.
With 32 locations currently in operation, Ford’s Garage is currently at work on another burger joint for the South Florida market. It’s headed to Boynton Beach, where—by the time it opens at 365 N Congress Ave—it will be location number 34.
“We’re targeting late October or early November,” Marc Brown, a founder of Ford’s Garage and President of 23 Restaurant Services, told What Now on Friday. “We’re hopeful to get open before the holidays.”
The new Ford’s Garage will feature a full bar both inside and outside; its standalone space comprises about 7,500 square feet and will include seating for more than 250 guests. There, you’ll be able to try “Burgers of Fame” like the BBQ Brisket Burger (Sharp Cheddar, Bourbon BBQ Sauce, Hickory Smoked Brisket, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Red Onions, and Crispy Onion Straws on a Brioche Bun), the Bison Burger (Bison Burger with Sharp Cheddar, Bacon Jam, Bourbon BBQ Sauce, Arugula, Onion Ring, and Chipotle Aioli on a Brioche Bun), and the Jiffy Burger (American Cheese, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Crisp Lettuce, and Creamy Peanut Butter on a Brioche Bun).
“We have a lot signatures, like our tower of onion rings,” Brown said. (The full name is “Giant Funnel Tower of Jumbo Piston Onion Rings.”) “And we recognize people in each of our communities and attach people to certain burgers: there are local teachers, coaches, and other people who have done great things for their communities.”
And after Boynton Beach? What does the future look like? What Now asked.
“As a company, Ford’s Garage just signed our fourth new franchisee,” Brown said. “We’re actively looking to expand nationally through franchise development.”
