Famed New York steakhouse Gallagher’s Steakhouse is planning to open its first South Florida location at 2006 NW Executive Center Circle, in Boca Raton, adjacent to Glades Road and next door to Sonesta Select Boca Raton.

“We’re building a restaurant that is going to be a very comfortable place to dine with a menu that I know will be well-received,” owner Dean Poll told What Now on Tuesday.

The new space will seat about 200 people inside and about 85 outside, offering the brand’s proven menu of steaks, seafood, and other specialties. These have included a New York Sirloin, Veal Chop Parmigiana, and Faroe Islands Salmon. The menu’s raw bar has featured choices like Salmon Tartare and Lobster Cocktail.

Poll says the Boca Raton location will also feature new dishes specific to South Florida, including raw fish crudos, ceviches, and other lighter seafood dishes.

“There are some good choices in Boca Raton right now, but I think some of the amenities we have will really set us apart,” said Poll, describing himself as a stickler for excellence in place setting and presentation.
