Marked “temporarily closed” on Google, Gianna’s Pizza Center is preparing for a reopening at 6916 Cypress Road in Plantation, according to a plan review submitted recently by Stay Cheesy Inc.

The news comes after the pizza shop went on a search for a new location last year (“We still have not found a place,” read a post published on the brand’s Facebook page in September). Signs now point to a reopening on its way.

What Now reached out to owner Giuseppe Ribaudo on Wednesday to inquire about plans for the reopening. Ribaudo was not immediately available for comment.

Details are not yet available on what changes might be expected to the pizza spot’s menu in its new home. The new location is in a building at the intersection of Cypress Road and Northwest 69th Avenue that also houses Riverside Market Plantation.

The building sits across the street from Plantation Towne Square, a retail center home to Plantation Diner, Jersey Mike’s Subs, and a Starbucks location.

Stay tuned for updates as more details become available about the Gianna’s Pizza reopening.
