Located at 4100 Salzedo St #5 in Coral Gables, Grou Coffee + Cowork offers a comfortable coworking space, coffee, and Miami’s first affogato bar. Founded by Barbara Safina and Orlando Superlano, the brand appears to preparing to expand its coffee side to a new location.

A recently submitted plan review shows Grou Coffee expanding to a second location in Coral Gables, this time at 2626 Ponce de Leon Blvd.

Grou Coffee, with its unique affogato bar, offers a wide variety of coffee drinks, plus a selection of food offerings revolving around breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Popular items include the Super Acai Bowl, the Arepa, and gluten-free Banana Bread. Grou is currently offering seasonal coffee drinks like the Venezuelan Mocha, the Golden Milk Latte, and the More Than Chai.

Grou has made a big impression on the area as the first cafe + cowork space in Coral Gables, and as a family-owned and -operated business using locally sourced ingredients. It’s also among the first businesses to accept payments in cryptocurrency. Now the company looks set to start on the path to growth.

What Now reached out to Orlando Superlano to inquire about plans for a new location. Superlano declined to comment at this time.
