What Now has been following the growth of South Florida-born guac-themed restaurant chain Guaca Go for a few years now. The brand launched its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in 2020. Then, What Now reported news of a second location in August 2022, and a third in November 2023.
Now, here comes location number 4—but this time it’s different. Guaco Go’s fourth location, opening at 181 US-1 in Tequesta, will be the brand’s first franchised restaurant.
“We haven’t started the construction yet, but [the opening] should be between September and October,” Jessie, who is opening the location together with Fabricio, her husband, told What Now on Wednesday.
“We were coming out to a meeting to potentially buy a Subway franchise, when we decided to have lunch at Guaca Go in West Palm Beach,” Fabricio told What Now, sharing the story of the couple’s decision to invest in Guaca Go. “We were thinking, should we or should we not? And as we were sitting there, we thought—wait, do they franchise?”
The rest is history: the couple went the a brand they had come to believe in.
“We’ve been serving healthy food & fresh guacamole to the fine folks of South Florida since we began as an event & catering company in 2016,” says the Guaca Go website. “Then, founders Carson Bennett and Amber Benjamin figured out what was missing from the fast-casual eatery scene: guacamole! With our passion for making fast, affordable, and healthy food available to all, Guaca Go opened the doors to its very first restaurant in Boynton Beach the summer of 2020. Its second restaurant in January of 2023 in West Palm Beach and third July of 2024 in Delray Beach.”
Next stop: Tequesta!
