Beloved Calle Ocho nightclub Hoy Como Ayer is preparing to make another comeback. The club closed back in 2019, reopening before the end of that year after an update. Yet another update appears to be following afterward, however: Hoy Como Ayer is currently marked “Temporarily Closed” on Google Maps, and the wheels appear to be in motion on the reopening:

“The Buenas Vibras Return,” says the club’s website. “Welcome to Hoy Como Ayer, an iconic live music venue and listening lounge in the heart of Calle Ocho.”

Additionally, plan review paperwork was submitted by Hoy Como Ayer 2.0 LLC for the restaurant’s address, 2212 SW Eighth Street.

“Located in the heart of Calle Ocho, Hoy Como Ayer is an intimate nightclub that offers an authentic Cuban music experience,” says a description of the iconic nightlife spot by Sunny Miami Tours. “With its cozy atmosphere and eclectic selection of live music, this venue is perfect for dancing to salsa, Cuban son, and other Latin genres. Its lively dance floor and festive atmosphere make it one of the most popular spots for music and dance on Calle Ocho.”
