Another outpost of Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders appears to be in store for South Florida. A plan review was recently submitted for a Huey Magoo’s at 3800 N University Drive.

Founded in 2004 by Matt Armstrong and Thad Hudgens, “two southern boys with a passion for quality chicken and a penchant for serving others,” the brand has grown considerably, especially in recent years. It appears to be passing 30 locations either open or coming soon in the state of Florida.

The menu is centered around chicken tenders, which come as a meal with three, five, or seven pieces, along with coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, and Magoo’s Dip. Also available are sandwiches and wraps like the Magoo’s Sandwich, with thick-cut dill pickles and drizzled with signature Magoo’s Sauce, and the Buffalo Wrap, with buffalo sauce, mixed greens, tomatoes, Pepper Jack cheese, and a drizzle of homemade ranch.

The location on North University Drive is near Sunny Rose Office Park, which is home to Davie Academy and Garibaldi’s Fine Mexican Cuisine.

What Now reached out on Wednesday to franchisee Frank Hennessey. Hennessey was not immediately available for comment.
