Open 24 hours a day at 19555 Northwest Second Avenue in Miami, Jamaica House Restaurant has been serving up Jamaican cuisine for more than 24 years. And now signs point to an expansion for the brand: plan review paperwork submitted recently by Jamaica House Restaurant Broward Inc. shows a Jamaica House location planned for 3351 W Broward Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale.

Jamaica House’s tried-and-true menu opens with appetizers like Fried Dumplings and Butterfly Shrimp. A selection of breakfast dishes features Ackee & Saltfish, several varieties of Porridge, and Liver & Onions, alongside entrees that include Chicken Jerk, Pork Jerk, and Veggie Stir Fry.

What Now reached out Thursday to owner Wayne Linton to ask about plans for a Fort Lauderdale Jamaica House location. Linton was not immediately available for comment.

The Broward Boulevard site is located between Northwest 24th Avenue and Northwest 33rd Terrace, near restaurants like My Brother’s Soul Food Heaven, Popeyes Lousiana Kitchen, and Dutch Pot Restaurant.
