Known as a fast-casual Jamaican concept, Jrk! will debut a new store at Dadeland Mall on Tuesday, February 17. The opening will mark the brand’s launch at one of Miami’s most popular shopping destinations and its expansion across South Florida.
Jrk! Offers Modern, Customizable Format of Dining
Jrk! has built a strong fanbase for its take on Jamaican cuisine since it launched in 2020. The eatery blends island flavors with a contemporary, customizable format designed for everyday dining. The concept is led by Chef Wayne Sharpe, drawn from his family recipes. It delivers a fresh experience focused on bold flavors and quality ingredients.
The launch of the new location follows the success of Jrk!’s location at Adventura Mall, located in Downtown Miami, and recently, at Kaseya Center. “Dadeland has been on our vision board for a long time,” said Kavan Burke, Co-Founder of Jrk!
“It’s such a community-driven mall, and we’re excited to be part of people’s everyday routines…whether they’re shopping, grabbing lunch with friends, or picking up a quick, flavorful meal. Opening here feels like a natural next step for us,” Burke added.

Bold Bowls, Island Sauces, and Big Growth Plans
Jrk!’s will offer its staple build-your-own bowls, with jerk fried rice, mixed greens, and rice and peas as bases, at the new Dadeland Mall location. Some of its popular proteins include Jerk BBQ Chicken, Oxtail, Classic Jerk Chicken, Jerk Shrimp, and Vegan Jerk.
These proteins are finished with toppings and sauces like crispy yuca sticks, Rude Boy sauce, Island Vinaigrette, pineapple plantains, Island Vinaigrette and cabbage slaw. Rounding out the menu are Jamaican patties, a fan-favorite.
The new opening at the Dadeland Mall is the beginning of Jrk!’s expansion. The brand has built on its growing presence in South Florida and plans to move to more Miami areas over the course of the year.
The brand is targeting high-traffic, community-heavy locations as it continues to grow, while remaining grounded in culture and quality. Other locations of Jrk! are at Aventura Mall, Downtown Miami, and Kaseya Center. With its Dadeland Mall debut, Jrk! continues to strengthen its foothold in South Florida’s dining scene.
