South Florida has seen a lot of action from the Jersey Mike’s brand as of late, and the new units keep on coming. What Now on Friday found a plan review filing for a location-in-progress for Sunrise.

According to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, expect to find the new sandwich shop at 137 NW 136th Ave, where it will neighbor eateries like: Nothing Bundt Cakes, Pincho Factory and Bap Bistro.

The plan review filing was approved with provisions on May 25 and was initiated by JM Food Group Florida 8 LLC. Matthew Catania is behind this company and is an established franchisee in the area.

What Now reached out to Catania for more details, but we have yet to hear back at this time. It is unknown when the location will open. The brand’s website indicates that it is “coming soon.”

Jersey Mike’s was founded in 1956, and since then, it has grown to over 2,000 locations nationwide. The brand is committed to source their meat and produce as locally as possible. In addition, they also host charitable events, like donating all of their sales from the last Wednesday in the month of March. They raised $20 million for the Special Olympics this past March.
