Located in the Treats Food Hall on the 3rd level of Aventura Mall, Jrk! has built a reputation with its “Fast-casual Jamaican cuisine made with real ingredients,” and it appears to be preparing for an expansion. A plan review was submitted recently by Jrk! Downtown LLC for a location 95 NW First Street in Miami.

“From your first step inside to your last bite, we hold our standards high when it comes to the guest experience,” reads the Our Story page on the Jrk! website. “We welcome you into our home with a warm, energetic atmosphere that features Caribbean flare and unparalleled flavor.”

The menu takes a build-your-own-bowl approach to fast-casual Jamaican cuisine, allowing guests to match bases like Rice and Peas, Jerk Fried Rice, and Green Spring Mix with Proteins like Jerk Chicken, Pepper Steak, and Mango Shrimp, along with a selection of toppings and sauces.

Signature Bowls include Classic Jerk (Rice and Peas, Jerk Chicken, Pineapple Plantains, Cabbage Slaw, Pineapple Mango Salsa), Jamrock Pepper Steak (Rice and Peas, Pepper Steak, Pineapple Plantains, Jerk Corn, Jerk Peppers and Onions), and Blue Mountain Curry (Jerk Fried Rice, Curry Chicken, Pineapple Plantains, Pineapple Mango Salsa, Cabbage Slaw or Fresh Herbs). There are also vegan options available.

The location given in the paperwork is at the intersection of Northwest First Avenue and Northwest First Street, next to Holy Bagels & Pizzeria. Other nearby eateries include Atlantis Cafe and Mario the Baker Pizza.
