Founded in 2012 as Stefano Versace Gelato by the founder who gave the company his name, what is today known as Konos Gelato has expanded considerably throughout the Miami area. It now has a total of ten locations, with an eleventh opening soon in Miami—at 268 SW Eighth St.—and a recently signed lease for a twelfth, this time in Coral Gables.
What Now confirmed the news in a phone call with Stefano Versace on Wednesday morning. Versace said the restaurant was in possession of the keys and hoped for an opening in November.
Konos has served gelato in a number of tempting flavors. These include, to name a few, Ferrero Rocher, Vaniglia Biologica, Cioccolato al Latte, Caffè, Stracciatella, Tiramisù, and many more.
The brands’ gelato also appears in shakes and atop a selection of baked goods, with the focus, Versace told What Now, always on the gelato.
“We are the professionals of gelato,” Versace said.
