Kuba on the Bay, a new restaurant from UMG Hospitality, has opened in Miami’s Bayside Marketplace. The restaurant is sister to CityPlace Doral’s Kuba Cabana, and it offers some of the same dishes made famous there.

UMG Hospitality Group is behind a number of South Florida projects. Its most recent restaurant was Heaven Mykonos. Like Kuba Cabana, Heaven Mykonos opened at CityPlace Doral and was a venture into Mediterranean cuisine, although it has since shuttered. With Kuba on the Bay, however, UMG will be sticking to a proven concept in an excellent new bayside location.

At Bayside Marketplace, Kuba on the Bay joins a considerable roster of exciting dining destinations. These include sports bar Black Market, steakhouse The Knife Parrilla Argentina, and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

What Now was unable to reach a representative of UMG Hospitality Group for comment on Thursday morning.
