Located at 891 SW 34th Street in Fort Lauderdale, The Fort is “South Florida’s premier sports destination.”
“Fort Lauderdale Pickleball Club and the Lakeside,” announces the Fort’s website: “It’s where the thrill of pickleball meets relaxed social vibes. Dive into competitive games, savor made-from-scratch culinary delights, and sip on crafted beverages. Whether you’re here to challenge your limits or to bask in the social scene, it’s the perfect place for sports enthusiasts, foodies, friends, and corporate events alike. Find your place at The Fort!”
The Fort’s website says it’s now open for business, but Fort Lauderdale is still awaiting the launch of Lakeside, the culinary heart of the project.
“Situated within The Fort’s 10-acre grounds and part of the combined 96-acre park, LAKESIDE offers the taste of authentic flavors as you overlook the tranquil lake or active courts,” says the Lakeside’s website. “Grab a signature drink, immerse in beach and watersports, try your hand at bocce, cornhole, beach volleyball, table tennis, and the dart room. LAKESIDE isn’t just a venue; it’s where South Florida comes alive.”
What’s going to be on the menu? That we can’t say for sure yet. But the website promises “MENUS COMING SOON.”
What Now came across paperwork submitted by Lakeside Hospitality, LLC for Lakeside Kitchen and Bar opening at The Fort’s address. Behind Lakeside Hospitality, LLC is manager Shona Tuckman. What Now reached out to Tuckman on Monday to ask about plans for Lakeside Kitchen and Bar. Tuckman was not immediately available for comment.
