Named #1 for ice cream in South Florida by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Lily’s Handmade Ice Cream is a family-run business based in Delray Beach. Launched in 2020, the brand is coming up on its fifth birthday, and it’s celebrating by launching a second ice cream shop, this time in Boynton Beach, at 3837 Woolbright Road.
“We’re known for all natural ingredients, no artificial flavors, no dyes,” ice cream chef and co-owner Ori Gilinsky told What Now on Monday. “All our fruit flavors come from real fresh fruit that’s never frozen. We also import real Belgian chocolate from Belgium. It’s a little more expensive, but it’s worth it.”
The result is the brand’s selection of decadent ice cream flavors that include classics like Madagascar Vanilla and Belgian Chocolate, along with other favorites like Soflo Swamp (a sensation that harmonizes the rich allure of Belgian chocolate-infused Oreos with the decadence of chocolate chips and the nostalgic crunch of Oreo chunks) and Dusty Monkey (combines the sweetness of ripe bananas, the rich warmth of brown sugar, and the nostalgic charm of Biscoff cookies).
On top of its ice cream shop, Lily’s Handmade Ice Cream also supplies a number of local restaurants and businesses, and it can be found at Joseph’s Classic Markets.
Gilinsky says overall construction on the retail center (located on the northeast corner of Woolbright Road and South Military Trail) is expected to continue another sixty days or so. A buildout of the new location will follow. The new location a bit smaller, but it will feature the same 50’s-esque décor and the same tried-and-true menu.
