Healthy restaurant the Last Carrot has been serving up veggie-focused sandwiches and salads in Coconut Grove at 3133 Grand Ave for decades. But the restaurant will have to relocate in the coming months, as the building the Last Carrot calls home will be demolished later this year, says to coverage by the Miami New Times.
The New Times coverage itself references an article in the Coconut Grove Spotlight. In it, Erin Compton—who owns the Last Carrot together with her sister Meadow since the passing of their father Michael, who founded the restaurant, says—“We’ve been looking at a lot of relocation options in the Grove, where we want to stay. I see this as an opportunity to grow, and I’m optimistic.”
Popular items from the Last Carrot’s menu include the Chicken Pita Sandwich, the Falafel Pita, the Chicken Salad (Chicken, carrots, cucumber, tomato, sprouts, lettuce, vinaigrette, or herbal dressing), and the Hummus Pita Sandwich.
What Now reached out to Meadow Compton on Wednesday to inquire ask about plans for a relocation. Compton said Erin is leading the search a good location.
“We haven’t quite found the right one yet.”
