The Miami New Times recently reported some exciting news about the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden’s return. Coupled with the landmark hotel’s re-opening are two new concepts from restaurateurs Chris Hudnall and Randy Alonso.

The first of the two concepts will be called Mayfair Grill. Drawing on Southwestern inspiration, the upscale eatery will feature a menu inspired by the culinary traditions of the region, and the drink menu will offer agave and tequila-based libations, according to the report.

Hudnall and Alonso are also utilizing the hotel’s original wood-fired oven and nine-foot grill to cook the dishes for the concept.

In the rooftop pool area, the bar and restaurant Sipsip will honor the Bahamian culture of the Miami-area. It will be available to guests and non-guests who are “in the know,” according to the New Times.

The whole project is estimated to open late this summer. What Now reached out to Hudnall for comment, and as of now we are still waiting for his response. Follow the hotel’s website.
