A new cafe is opening in Dania Beach with a nod to Portuguese food and culture.

Móh Café, a Portuguese cafe and coffee shop, is opening at 1410 S. Federal Highway. According to owner Raul Vazquez, the shop is gearing up for a March 2026 soft opening.

An announcement on the shop’s Instagram account states that, “Móh Café was born from the charm of traditional Portuguese coffee houses and the legend of the Galo de Barcelos it’s the symbol of good fortune and hope. Every detail of our logo carries that spirit, a reminder to pause, breathe, and let every sip bring a little luck.”

Vazquez says that the cafe will offer coffee drinks, pastries, toasts, and salads made with Portuguese recipes and a bit of a Miami twist.

Portugal is known for its rich, strong high-quality coffee, usually made from a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans. Coffee time is a necessary part of Portuguese life with friends gathering at the local shop for a quick pick-me-up of bica (espresso) or to savor a galão (latte), or meia de leite (coffee with milk).  A warm weather favorite is the mazagran, an iced coffee with lemon and sugar, considered to be the original iced coffee by many.

When it opens, Móh Café will become a welcome addition to Dania Beach’s growing independent restaurant scene.
