Founded in Plano, Texas in 2007, Mooyah Burgers, Fries & Shakes has been on a steady growth path since it launched franchising. It now has approximately 80 locations in the United States, and it’s continuing to grow here in South Florida with a planned location at 5030 Champion Boulevard Unit J1 in Boca Raton.
The Boca Raton location is only the first in a large development deal with franchisee Marc Verderame. Verderame is a restaurant industry veteran with experience operating several other restaurant concepts, and he’s working to open 15 Mooyah locations in Palm Beach County over the next ten years.
What Now reached out to Verderame on Wednesday. The new Mooyah franchisee said the Boca Raton location is working toward an opening on August 28th, and that the next location will open in Wellington.
The Mooyah menu features a prodigious selection of burgers, including the Mooyah Cheeseburger, the Double Diablo (2 Fresh, Never-Frozen Certified Angus Beef® Patties, Pepper Jack, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Jalapeños, Cholula, Mayo, Non-GMO Potato Bun), and the almost shockingly decadent Hamburdog (Fresh, Never-Frozen Certified Angus Beef® topped with a Hebrew National® All-Beef Hot Dog, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Jalapeños, Fried Onion Strings, Ketchup, Non-GMO Potato Bun).
Guests looking for a more health-conscious route can opt for the Paleo (1/2 lb Certified Angus Beef® Iceburger, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Fresh Avocado, Tomato, Pickles, Onions, Mustard) or the Low Cal (1/4 lb Certified Angus Beef® Iceburger, Fresh Avocado, Tomato, Onions, Cholula®).
In addition to these and other burger varieties (Dr. Praeger’s Black Bean Vegan, anyone?), Mooyah also offers several potato varieties, including Housemade Potato Chips, Hand Cut Idaho Fries, and Sweet Potato Fries. Complete the picture with a shake in tempting flavors like Reese’s PB Cup, Cookie Dough, and Mint Chocolate Chip.
