With three locations already operating in Miami Beach, Coconut Creek, and Boca Raton, Mexican restaurant Naked Taco offers a “kick a** take on the taco” that is “totally chef inspired.” The brand is now looking to double its footprint, with upcoming locations in Kendall and Wellington, plus one in Naples.
The culinary mind behind Naked Taco is “internationally known, nationally recognized, locally accepted” chef Ralph Pagano. Pagano’s company, Yes Hospitality Group, is also behind the Dream Hotel’s Highbar. “Ralph has been to Hell and Back with Gordon Ramsay, battled Iron Chef vs Bobbly Flay, and [is] internationally known as the Pressure Cook,” says the chef’s bio on the Naked Taco website.
What Now reached out to Pagano on Wednesday. Pagano was not immediately available for comment.
Guests at the Falls Shopping Mall in Kendall and at the new Lotis at Wellington development will be able to enjoy Pagano’s menu, which features shareables like Signature Chicharrones, Classic Ceviche, and The Best Tuna Nachos.
The Miami Beach menu’s thirteen taco varieties include Blackened Baja Fish with shredded cabbage, lime crema, and salsa; Blackened Octopus Tako with cucumber, tomato, red onion salad, jicama, lime crema, capers, and hot pepper; Buffalo Fried Chicken; and the extravagant Lobster Tail Tacos (“hecho a mano” fresh corn tortillas + avocado + mango habanero + glazed bacon + lettuce + lime crema + cotija).
The Naked Taco website lists a December opening date for Naked Taco Kendall, although the company’s recent submission of plan review documents for the location may indicate that opening has been delayed. No opening date is available for the location in Wellington.
