The small retail center located on the southeast corner of West Atlantic Boulevard and East Hemingway Circle in Margate will soon be home to a new restaurant serving Caribbean Cuisine. Paperwork submitted by Lakay’s Flavor LLC shows a restaurant by that name opening at 4900 W Atlantic Blvd, Suite 4. Lakay’s Flavor is already viewable on Google Maps.

What Now confirmed news of the restaurant’s opening with owner Chelda Desinord on Friday. Desinord was not immediately available to talk further about the concept, but she did confirm the cuisine: “It will be mainly Haitian food.”

Lakay is, after all, a name from Haiti, meaning home.

Opening in the West Atlantic Boulevard location, Lakay’s Flavor will be situated across East Hemingway Circle from Coconut Square, a shopping center that houses restaurants like Pasta And… and Papa John’s Pizza.

Stay tuned for possible updates as more details become available about Lakay’s Flavor!
