The building on the southwest corner of the South Dixie Highway West and West McNab Road intersection appears to be the future home of a new Chinese restaurant. Plan review paperwork submitted by Yeye Jiang LLC indicates an opening at 1601 S Dixie Highway W.
Behind the restaurant, which appears to be called Yeye Jiang, is owner Tony Su. What Now contacted Su on Thursday, but Su declined to comment on news of a restaurant opening in the space in question.
This leaves us guessing as to the opening timeline and food menu offerings. What we do know is that Yeye Jiang translates, more or less, to Grandpa Jiang from Mandarin. So it seems safe to anticipate some Chinese food is in the works.
The new restaurant would join Amy’s French Bakery & Bistro, a breakfast place on the other side of McNab Road, past Southwest 14th Court.
What Now awaiting response to an email requesting more information, so stay tuned.
