What Now Miami confirmed on Wednesday with owner Adam Gersten that a new restaurant is due for the now shuttered Schnitzel Haus at 1085 NE 79th Street. According to Gersten, the space is currently under construction.

Schnitzel Haus, which closed down between 2018 and 2019, served German food and beers. It is unknown why they closed down, but Gersten is now in the process of repairing the building and making it hospitable for a new concept. A significant portion of the electric and plumbing work needed to be overhauled, Gersten said.

The exact cuisine has not been confirmed, but Gersten thinks that it will be similar to the German fare formerly offered. He also has not landed firmly on a name for the establishment.

The new restaurant will neighbor other restaurants and night-life locations, such as: Ferraro’s Kitchen and K&K Billiards.

Miami can expect to see the doors of this new restaurant open within the next six months.
