Pinecrest Bakery, the homegrown South Florida bakery chain “where Miami’s heart beats with Cuban flavor” is expanding once again with a new location in Westchester. Plan review documents were submitted by Pinecrest Bakery corporate for a new location at 8394 SW 40th St.
“We serve authentic pastelitos, baked goods, café cubano, over 60 desserts, traditional and oven-toasted sandwiches, party platters, custom cakes, and catered family meals,” says the Pinecrest Bakery website’s About Us page. “We take pride in our values of quality, integrity, family, and tradition.”
What Now reached out to co-owner Gladys Valdes to ask about plans for the new location; Valdes was not immediately available for comment.
For the moment, there is some uncertainty about the precise address, as the Pinecrest Bakery website lists a new Westchester location as opening at 8318 SW 40th Street. In either case, Google Maps places the location in the building at the intersection with Southwest 84th Avenue. That building also houses Kon Chau Chinese Restaurant.
