Marco’s Pizza is bringing another location in South Florida at the start of this summer. What Now Miami spoke with co-franchisee Karan Choudhary on Wednesday to confirm details.
The new location is set to appear at 11050 Griffin Road. Choudhary explained that he and his team are in the final stages of obtaining permits, and they will soon begin construction with a hope of opening the doors in late May or early June.
A plan review filed with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation last month was approved with provisions on February 3.
Choudhary shared that this is his first franchise. He and his team will be continuing a legacy established by brand founder Pat Giammarco, who established the first pizzeria in Oregon, Ohio in 1978.
Giammarco grew up with his family in Italy until the age of nine and used that experience to inspire his pizza making craft. His store’s success grew, and what was once a single store is now over 1000, reaching to 34 states in the country.
