Curt Huegel, the restaurateur behind Manhattan restaurants like Campagnola and Bill’s Townhouse, along with Delray Beach’s Avalon Steak & Seafood and Lulu’s Café & Cocktails, has another new restaurant in store for Delray Beach. Campi, a brand new concept, will open at The Ray Hotel sometime this fall, according to recent coverage by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
“We’ve found a new culinary home here in Delray Beach, with this being our third restaurant we will open in the downtown area,” Huegel says in the Sun-Sentinel coverage. “Coming to The Ray Hotel was something of a no-brainer for us, as the property itself exudes that vibrant, beachy-yet-modern feel….”
Campi will move into the space formerly occupied by Ember Grill (pictured above), joining a food and beverage roster that includes modern Japanese restaurant Akira Back, the hotel’s Rosewater Rooftop, and cafe and breakfast/lunch spot Stingers.
What Now reached out to Huegel on Tuesday to inquire about plans for Campi, particularly for more details about its expected menu offerings. Huegel was not immediately available for comment.
