The community of food and drink locations at the intersection of Northeast 12th Avenue and Northeast 35th Street in Oakland Park may be soon to welcome a new restaurant concept into the mix. Plan review paperwork was submitted recently by Red Sea Restaurant Inc. for a restaurant location at 3500 NE 12th Ave.

Behind Red Sea Restaurant Inc. is local business owner Yoseph Kidane. What Now reached out to Kidane on Thursday to inquire regarding Red Sea Restaurant’s plans for the location. Kidane was not immediately available for comment.

As a result, details pertaining to Red Sea Restaurant’s brand, menu, and opening date remain unknown for the moment.

Opening at the 12th-and-35th intersection, Red Sea Restaurant would join a retail and dining community that includes boutique shop The Wander Shop, butcher shop The Butcher’s Barrel, and restaurants Nour Thai Kitchen and Rebel Wine Bar.

Just on the other side of the adjacent North Dixie Highway are Prison Pals Brewery’s Oakland Park taproom, along with fast food spot Paisa Bites and Salvadoran restaurant El Calero.
