The cluster of restaurants at the intersection of Washington Ave. and 15th St. in Miami Beach will soon welcome a new fast casual sandwich concept into its community. Cubaton will offer sandwiches and Cuban favorites in a space of about 400 square feet at 413 15th St.

“The goal is to provide a made-to-order, authentic, delicious Cuban sandwich with all-homemade ingredients that will be affordable for both locals and tourists,” owner David Reidenberg told What Now on Monday morning.

Cubaton will offer a Classic Cuban with pork that is marinated and slow-cooked in-house for six to eight hours and served on bread from local bakery partners. Expect that plus a medianoche—a similar sandwich served on a sweeter egg-bread—along with beverages like Café con Leche and popular Cuban sodas.

“It’s going to be a beachside Cuban grab-and-go experience,” Reidenberg said.

The 15th St. location neighbors eateries like Five Guys, Taco Rico, and Sriracha House, just south of Courtyard by Marriott. Cubaton is working toward an opening in December.
