With a number of locations already operating in Miami, Wingstop—the chicken wing mega-chain with more than 2,500 locations worldwide—is continuing to grow in the area. And what’s Wingstop’s next stop? According to plan review documents submitted by Florida Wingmen LLC, it’s at 12600 Southwest Eighth St., at the intersection with Tamiami Trail.
Wingstop is known for its wide variety of flavor profiles. On the Wingstop website, you can Find Your Flavor, be it something saucy or a dry rub. On the No Heat level, try Garlic Parmesan or Hawaiian. Dragging the slider just past Some Heat, you’ll find the Hot Honey Rub, the Original Hot sauce, and Spicy Korean Q. If you’re looking for All the Heat, you can try Atomic. (In which case, best of luck!)
Opening at Tamiami Trail and Southwest Eighth Street, the new Wingstop would join a food and drink community that includes restaurants like Wajiro’s Restaurant, Eddie’s Place, Burger King, and Dona Neli Restaurant.
“Wingstop quickly became a fan favorite when we first opened our doors in 1994,” says the Wingstop website’s About Us page. “Our proprietary recipes, outstanding food and superior customer service created a demand that could only be satisfied by more locations. And in 1997 we began offering franchises. Today we are one of the fastest-growing concepts in the country, attracting top entrepreneurs and operators with the drive and passion to own their own business.”
What Now reached out on Friday to Sergio Balsinde, one of the partners in Florida Wingmen, to ask about plans for a new location at 12600 Southwest Eighth St. Balsinde was not immediately available for comment.
