With several locations open in New York City, Miracali Bakery is a popular Colombian bakery that has built a following and is now looking to expand. That expansion is bringing Miracali to South Florida, where submitted plan review paperwork shows the bakery opening at 4531 Griffin Road in Hollywood (although Google Maps places that address in Davie).
“We’re in construction, about two to three months away from opening,” Mariana, who is bringing Miracali to South Florida, told What Now on Thursday. Mariana is also part of the team behind juice concept Jugo Boss.
Opening on the northeast corner of Griffin Road and North State Road 7, Miracali joins a food and drink community that includes restaurants like Wawa, La Granja, and Salad Guyz near luxury apartment complex Griffin 441.
“It’s a totally traditional Colombian bakery,” Mariana said. Accordingly, Miracali’s menus in New York have included Colombian breakfast choices like Huevos Pericos and Arepas Con Queso y Carne Asada, Plate Specials like Carne Encebollada and Milanesa de Carne, and sandwiches like a Ham and Cheese Roll and Steak Sandwich. Specifics on the Miracali Hollywood/Davie menu are not yet available.
