Known as a healthy alternative within the hustling, bustling fast-food world, Oakberry Acai is “on a journey to make açaí known and appreciated all over the globe.” And it’s succeeding, with more than 600 stores in operation across 35 different countries, including Brazil, the U.S., Portugal, the U.K., and more.
Now, the acai franchise looks to be planning its first location in Hallandale Beach, where plan review documents submitted by Hallandale Purple Blossom Partners LLC show an Oakberry Acai opening at 801 N Federal Highway, Suite 108.
The menu at Oakberry Acai features favorites like The Original (Acai, peanut butter, granola and banana toppings in a 16oz cup), the Crunchy (Acai, chia pudding, granola, strawberries, blueberries and cocoa nibs toppings in a 16oz cup. A global favorite, layered to perfection), and the Matcha (Acai, Double Matcha Chia Pudding, Strawberry, Goji Berry, Honey). You can also invent your own bowl or smoothie.
“Our bowls are USDA organic-certified acai. They are vegan, high in antioxidants, gluten-free, and trans-fat-free. We use natural and nutrient-rich ingredients to maximize the health benefits of acai,” says the Oakberry Acai website. “We are on a journey to make açaí known and appreciated all over the globe. Our healthy bowls and smoothies are now enjoyed by millions worldwide, especially those focused on their well-being.”
What Now reached out franchisee Adamar Guedin on Wednesday to ask about plans for a Hallandale Beach Oakberry location. Guedin was not immediately available for comment.
