Park Sheridan West Plaza, a retail center on the northwest corner of the intersection between North Park Road and Sheridan Street, will soon be home to a new restaurant offering Mediterranean cuisine. Pala Mediterranean Kitchen will offer flavors from Morocco to the Middle East, opening at 3317 Sheridan St.
“I’m a Jewish-Israeli-Moroccan chef,” owner Eden Ben David told What Now in a phone call on Tuesday. “My whole life I’ve cooked Moroccan food. I’ve been here for five years, and I started cooking in my own private kitchen. But after five years doing that, I decided to open my own restaurant.”
Pala Mediterranean Kitchen will offer a range of Mediterranean dishes, all kosher and with an emphasis on Moroccan food—like her homemade couscous, mafrum, and Moroccan fish—along with Middle Eastern cuisine, like Iraqi kubbe.
“It’s going to be different,” Ben David said. “There is nothing like it in all South Florida.”
The space in Park Sheridan West Plaza will seat thirty to forty people inside and out. Moving in, Pala Mediterranean Kitchen will be joining the plaza’s already impressive food and drink community, which includes eateries like 305 Degrees Burger Bar, Done Rodone Ceviche & More, Tijuana Flats, and Shenanigans Sports Pub.
