Launched 13 years ago in the Palm Beach Gallery Building at 350 S County Road in Palm Beach, Buccan has been one of the area’s star concepts, serving up culinary creations from chef Clay Conley. Now, according to recent coverage by the Palm Beach Post, the restaurant is planning to expand to a second location in Coral Gables, in tandem with several other concepts from parent company Ember Group.

“The always buzzy bistro, helmed by nationally acclaimed chef Clay Conley, will bring three of its related concepts to a prime corner of the Gables’ iconic Miracle Mile,” says the Palm Beach Post coverage. “That debut is expected to happen sometime after April 2025.”

The location will feature a combination of Buccan, Japanese sister concept Imoto (whose name indeed means “little sister”), and Buccan Sandwich Shop. Together, these concepts will occupy a space with a combined 9,600 square feet.

“It’s thanks to the support we have received in Palm Beach that we can continue to grow and bring our food and dining experiences to new markets,” chef Clay Conley says in the coverage.

What Now reached out to Clay Conley on Monday to inquire about plans for the new location. Conley was not immediately available for comment.
