Boca Raton’s Mizner Park will soon be home to another new concept from South Florida’s own Subculture Group. Coverage in the Boca Raton Tribune described Penelope New Orleans Kitchen as a new restaurant “featuring a New Orleans-inspired menu, bar, and more.”

An opening was originally planned for 2023 but has not eventuated for Penelope, which is “Coming Soon” according to its website, promsing “modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun, Creole & French cuisine.”

Helmed by Rodney Mayo, Subculture Group is known for its Subculture Coffee shops—and for a roster of restaurants like Delray Beach’s Dada and West Palm Beach’s Hullabaloo and Sassafras.

“We are proud to be home to Sub-Culture Group’s newest restaurant concepts, among other beloved eateries, that will deliver a variety of enticing dining and entertainment options to the area,” said Vicki Baisden, general manager of Mizner Park, in the 2023 Boca Raton Tribune coverage.
